I recently sent in my resume for a job. They asked me to get my credit report on Freecreditreport.com?
I have been on Craigslist looking for a job. I found one as a law assistant and another as a receptionist. I sent in my resume. They emailed back saying they thought I was perfect for the job considering my background, but they would need me to get my credit score.
Is this legitimate? Do most employers require A Credit check?
I’m young and still in college. I’m trying to get my first job so any tips would also be helpful. Thank you!

I get them all the time and just delete.
any employer that wants to hire you will pay to pull your credit not make you do it in advance.
use monster jobs or career builders, they are no scam artists.
